More cereal

Today, Molly had her second experience with cereal. This time, we made it a little thicker, and she sat in her highchair. She seemed to really enjoy it. Of course we made a mess, but she had fun. She also got to take her first bath in the big tub. We decided to try the tub because she splashes so much in the little tub we use in the sink! She also seemed to like that, she didn't act even the littlest scared! She saw her toes in the tub and thought that was really neat!

More first for Molly

Friday at the doctor, Molly had her offical weigh in. She is up to 14 lbs 1/2 oz (60%), 25 inches long (75%). She has a little head though still, only in the 25%! We also talked about other options for eating for Molly because the bottle has become a knock-down-drag-out fight to get 3 oz of pumped milk down her. So, we are starting Rice cereal. After she gets that down, we can move onto orange veggies! She also got her 4 month shots, and was such a big girl! She only cried until the two nurses let go of her legs! Then she was all smiles!

Today, Molly had her first taste of rice cereal. However, the consistency that the doctor told us to make it was more like milk, than like cereal. I think that she liked it once she figured out how to eat it though. She has also been fighting the bottle really hard, and almost refusing to eat when Mommy isn't around to nurse her. So, after trying about 6 different nipples on 4 different bottles, cup feeding, syringe feeding, and finger feeding without success, we tried the sippy cup! She likes the sippy cup. Who would have thought that my 4 month old baby would be drinking from a sippy cup, but that is the only way to get her to take milk if I am not nursing her! And even better, she takes it from Mommy, which she wouldn't do with the bottle at all! She is just getting so big!

A new year of fun!

Well, it is a new year, and a time for firsts for Molly! After a fun New Year's Eve spent at Becky and Greg's house, we came back home to just play all day on New Year's Day. Molly is still working very hard to roll from back to tummy. She make it about half way, and then needs some assistance to make it the rest of the way.

Once she gets to her Tummy (by way of mommy or daddy) she loves to eat her hands. However, we are not the biggest fan of Tummy Time!

She still love sitting in her Bumbo, but she really loves to play with her Glowworm while sitting in her Bumbo

She has really discovered how fun it is too pull the dogs hair!

After all of that fun, we brought out a new toy, the walker! She really enjoys playing in that while eating her animals from Aunt Summer!




We have also discovered the Johnny Jumper. She really enjoyed eating her hand in that. Towards the end our her time in that, she figured out how to turn around and even how to bounce a little bit! She is getting so big so fast!
